Add DVD you want to convert

When Freemake DVD to iTunes program starts, insert your DVD into a DVD-drive and click the “+DVD” button in the software. Choose the titles that you want to convert to iTunes. If you don’t know which ones you need, you can preview them one by one in the Freemake editor.

In case your movie has several audio tracks and subtitles tracks, select the sound and subs that you need. Freemake DVD to iTunes Converter lets you add one audio and one subs track to your video.

Please note that your discs should not be protected. The Freemake freeware doesn’t break the original disc protection.

Choose to convert DVD to Apple

Since you need to convert DVD movies to iTunes, you should select iTunes supported format and choose either “to MP4” or “to Apple” output option.

If you click “to MP4”, you will see the ready quality presets that you can select for your video. Please note that DVD is not an HD or Full HD format. If you select “to Apple” option, you will see a list of presets for Apple gadgets: iPhone, iPod, etc. Using this option, you can convert DVD to iPhone right away.

Select final parameters

Whatever option you’ve chosen (DVD to MP4 or Apple), click the drop-down menu to select your Apple gadget or future file quality. We recommend choosing “Same as source” preset to keep the video quality as is. Keep in mind that the highest DVD resolution is 720x480 for NTSC discs and 720x576 pixels for the PAL ones.

If necessary, you can select an “Add custom preset” option and set the parameters that will be ideal for your film (bitrate, frame size, fps, audio and video codecs).

If you want to add new videos to iTunes automatically, select the “Export to iTunes” option right above the “Convert” button.

Import DVD to iTunes free

Now select a folder for your new files. Please note that files from DVDs can be heavy. So make sure you have enough of space on your hard drive to add a DVD to iTunes.

When everything is done, click the “Convert” button to save DVD to iTunes. Then open iTunes and check your new videos there. If you haven’t selected the “Export to iTunes” option, then add your files to iTunes manually.

If you want to add DVD to iPhone, then connect your iPhone to your PC and sync it with iTunes.

You may also convert music videos to MP3 to listen to them on iPod/iPhone.
