It doesn't matter which video format you import into the software. It may be AVI, WMV, 3GP, MKV, MP4 or even a DVD! To do this, you need to know how to copy a DVD to your PC hard drive. Then the procedure is the same for all the formats.

Flash FLV is a file format used to deliver media content such as movies, clips, TV shows, and so on. The format was developed by Adobe Systems. In the early 2000s, FLV format was used as a default one for web streaming. The format could be found on almost every popular media streaming website.

SWF is short for small web format. Or previously ShockWave Flash It is also an Adobe Flash file format used for multimedia content. SWF files can contain animation or movies. They are also used for online browser games.

If you have a website ort a blog where you want to post multimedia files, you need to encode them to FLV or SWF. It is very easy with the Freemake app.

Here are the steps to do it:

  • Download the Freemake installation file on your computer;
  • Install the tool on a PC and run it;
  • Click File – Video to add films that you want to have on your web-page;
  • Pay attention to the formats bar at the bottom of the tool. Choose “to SWF” or “to FLV”. If you do not see any of these options, use the right arrow in the app to see more available output choices;
  • screenshot FVС

  • When you click a format, a new window will appear. Click the drop-down menu to see the output quality options.
  • In case you do not like any of the ready quality preset, you can create a custom one with your desirable settings such as codec, bitrate, frame size, fps, and others. Please note that you can't set a bigger frame size for a small file.
  • As soon as you are ok with the settings, choose where you want to save the new visual.
  • Then run the changing process and wait till it finishes.
  • As soon as it is completed, a new page will open in your web-browser. It will give you a ready code for your web page.
  • Now you need to upload visuals to your hosting, copy the ready code and insert it where you want it to be on a page.
  • In case your hosting has any media size restrictions, you can change the clip size to a necessary one. To do it, click the weight with arrow sign above the blue “Convert” button. The toll will show you the maximum and the minimum number that you can set. We recommend to not going below the minimum parameter since you might lose the visual quality.
